Dr. Nathan S. Bryan is a globally recognized leader in nitric oxide biochemistry and molecular medicine. He has spent the past 20 years leading groundbreaking research in nitric oxide, resulting in seminal discoveries and dozens of issued U.S. and international patents. His innovations have laid the foundation for transformative technologies that have generated more than $1 billion in global product sales and are improving patient care worldwide.

He is the founder of multiple companies translating nitric oxide science into real-world solutions, including Pneuma Nitric Oxide, Nitric Oxide Innovations, Bryan Nitriceuticals, and Bryan Therapeutics. As the Founder and CEO of Bryan Therapeutics, he is advancing clinical-stage therapies targeting cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers.

Dr. Bryan was recruited in 2006 by Nobel Laureate Dr. Ferid Murad to join the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed post-doctoral training as a Kirschstein Fellow at Boston University’s Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute. He holds a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport—where he received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research—and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
